I first visited Austria and Germany as a junior in high school, and I was hooked. Now, many years and 30+ trips later, I've cultivated my expertise in these two countries - and not just the "tourist spots." As a long-time English professor prior to becoming a travel advisor, I knew that it was my job to educate my clients to all these destinations offer. Over the years, I've studied and learned the language, cultures, cuisines, people, local customs, and geographies so that now, I can share with you the very best of Austria and Germany. There's more than you can imagine.

In Austria, there's much more to see beyond Vienna and Salzburg, and much more to Salzburg than "The Sound of Music." Through our conversations, we'll find properties in locations that fit your travel style, but I'll steer you towards authentically Austrian properties, like a small historic (but modernized) hotel in Salzburg's Old Town - surrounded by great dining, shopping, and sightseeing - and thoroughly drenched in Austrian charm.

Germany is the country I've visited the most, and with every trip, I learn about new places for you to see and experience - events, sightseeing, activities, and cultural enrichment. I've seen that my clients can tell - in just the first few minutes of an initial call - that my hands-on experience trumps whatever they might find in a guidebook.

When we talk about planning your trip to Germany, Austria, or both, I'll recommend we slow down and select fewer places to see - but in greater depth. We'll discuss visiting specific areas of the country - e.g. in Germany, visiting just Bavaria or the Rhine region on one trip. Or, if you're concentrating on just visiting the big cities this time, I'll suggest adding one city/town that Americans seldom visit. We have so much to talk about... Let's get started!
