I love golf and I love to travel. I’ve been a travel advisor for over a quarter century. And, for most of the past 20 years, I’ve organized and arranged golf trips for anywhere from 4 to 12 golfers to take part in fun and memorable itineraries. I’ve arranged trips for my clients to play challenging courses in Europe (especially England and Scotland), the Bahamas, Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Disney World, and Pebble Beach – just to name a few courses.

As an experienced travel advisor specializing in golf and as one who’s earned the Certified Golf Specialist designation from The Travel Institute for “additional training in golf travel planning,” I research the hotel/resort property options, make all the arrangements with the Country Club and/or public courses we’ll be playing – to include tee times, cart rentals, dining reservations, etc. I make sure that – before we choose a site for our next golf outing - there is a good variety of non-golfing activities available for those in our group who do not play or choose not to play one day. Generally, our agenda will include one 18-hole-round in the morning; with other activities during the afternoon and evening.

Some of our most important discussions will include the golfer having a Golf Handicap Index Number (GHIN.) It’s important that my client knows that this Handicap must be obtained before applying to play at some of the best courses domestically and throughout the world. Next, we’ll have to determine who will be playing and who won’t and what activities, sightseeing, etc. the non-golfers want to do. And, last - but very important – are you going to carry your clubs, or will you rent clubs on site where you’ll be playing?
