Travel With Tellie
First of all, I love Israel. I love the people, the food, the culture, and the customs. Jerusalem to me, is like walking into history, and my Bible coming alive. Jerusalem is the holy site for all three monotheistic religions. It’s more conservative, quiet, is inland in the hills, and it gets cold. Tel Aviv is an exciting modern city, more laid back, lots of cafes, restaurants, galleries, theatres and clubs… and it’s a coastal city with a temperate climate.
Tel Aviv showcases the beach and a beautiful boardwalk that play a major role in the life of the city. Jerusalem is somewhere between 3000 and 5,000 (depending on the opinion of different scholars) years old, while Tel Aviv (defined as “Old New”) was founded a mere 114 years ago. Other “must see” sites include The Valley of the Shadow of Death (my most favorite site and I visit here every time I’m in Israel.)
Next, you must visit a Kibbutz and see the remains at King Herod’s Palace in Caesarea – overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean. English is widely spoken throughout the country. I have toured Israel several times on my own with a private driver, and toured recently with two separate church groups. What I do best is to help you visualize what it’s like to actually be in Israel – both an ancient and modern country. And this helps build the anticipation and excitement for this destination. There are many reasons to visit The Holy Land. For many – regardless of their faith - it is the opportunity to know more about religion and to walk on Holy Ground. For others, it’s an escape to one of the most diverse and intriguing countries in the world. Or… a combination of both.
Whether you’re looking for assistance in booking a vacation for two or need guidance in arranging group travel for a big church group…I can handle it. I will work hard to earn your trust and confidence and will look forward to our establishing a long-term relationship where I not only meet your expectations… but exceed them. I look forward to talking with you soon.
