With over 30 years' experience as a travel professional, I'm proud to say that I've navigated travelers on authentic, nurturing adventures around the world. As a destination specialist for Chile, I am most familiar with the Chilean regions of Southern Patagonia. My most recent experiences were centered in and around the Torres del Paine National Park in the Magallanes region. Chile is the longest country in Latin America.
Indeed, Chile is an epic adventure destination, and to fully-experience this region, you should set aside 2-3 weeks minimum for this adventure. There are options for travelers of all fitness levels, but a good level of fitness is recommended. When we talk, I'll recommend different types of itineraries, some based in lodges and others more active -e.g. hiking between Refugios (rustic mountain huts) on the classic W Trek. You'll spend your days in a territory "surrounded by imposing mountains, lakes, pampas (grasslands), and wildlife" where wildlife and livestock "live in harmony with nature, in order to share with all future generations, a true Patagonian Experience."
Other exciting and unique experiences I'll share with you include kayaking around icebergs on Lago Grey, a breathtaking Ice Hike on the glacier, and... Puma Tracking - an up-close encounter with Patagonia's largest predator! This is just a sample of all that I want to share with you about this incredible and diverse destination.
