I've been playing golf since I was four years old and played at the collegiate level on scholarships for the University of San Francisco and Louisiana State University. I've been fortunate enough to have had the enviable opportunity to play St. Andrews, Royal Aberdeen, Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay and Carnoustie where I got to experience these world-famous venues. Prior to becoming a travel advisor in 2015, I was the junior golf director of the Idaho Golf Association.
I've been extremely fortunate to be able to combine my longtime education and experience as a golfer with my training, expertise, and experience as a travel advisor in order to plan your upcoming best golf vacation-ever! Some of the most important tips I'll share with you are: Getting tee-times at the world's more famous courses. (For example, a prospective golfer on the Old Course at St. Andrews must enter the lottery a year in advance for the best chance to get on the golf course.)
Being realistic as to your playing skill/level and not attempting to play one of the world's "most challenging courses" when your average score is 90, with an 18 handicap, where the course only allows a handicap of 6. Another important tip is awareness of the playing conditions/weather on courses abroad.
Most importantly, when we work together... is for you to tell me what experience you want to accomplish with your upcoming golf getaway. Once I know what your goal is... I can make it happen! Look forward to talking with you soon.
