As a native of Sweden, I look forward to going back "home" as often as possible and spending as much time as possible learning about everything new since my last visit. I grew up learning the languages of the three countries that comprise Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, and Norway,) was educated here, and worked in both the tourism and airline industry prior to moving to the States. What sets me apart as an experienced and knowledgeable destination specialist for Scandinavia is that I maintain strong contacts locally and am constantly updated on new attractions, hotels, events, festivals, and other activities that would be of great interest to visitors to this beautiful part of our world.
Just a sample of all that Scandinavia has to offer you is the IceHotel -"a stunning Swedish landmark since 1989" that has truly become a must-see Swedish landmark for travelers from all over the world. Next, the picturesque Danish fishing village of Dragor on the South Coast of the island of Amager - just a few miles from Copenhagen - is considered one of the best day trips for "those looking to escape the stress of the city and spend a relaxing day by the sea." Founded in the 12th century by fisherman, Dragor is known for its charming old town with cobblestone alleyways, cottages with thatched roofs, and an historic town center comprised of well-preserved historical buildings.
And in Norway... the Alfotbreeen Glacier and the town of Nordfjord - an exciting destination in that it's near Vingen - the largest petroglyph field in all the Nordic countries. The field is near Norway's tallest cliff - Hornelen - which towers 860 meters above the sea! Here you can take guided tours of the glaciers and hike through both fjord landscapes and inland mountains. An amazing tour and not to be missed. I look forward to creating your memorable itinerary to this stunningly-beautiful region of the world. And I'm confident... your first visit won't be your last.
