I have two destination specialties: Germany and the United Kingdom. We'll start our journey in the UK. Having lived and traveled extensively in this compelling destination, I have a much greater knowledge and appreciation of this country, than had I just traveled here many times.

One of the most important things I've learned is actually knowing the difference between England, Britain, and the UK. I'm married to a native and that has definitely enhanced my in- depth understanding of the different cultures from the outset. Learning to drive on the "wrong" side of the road is challenging, but I have valuable tips to help make it easier and safer for you. Other tips I'll share with you include the weather - and how it varies depending on your location in the UK. And, not all "Fish and chips" taste the same. Special sights to see and things to do: Walking up Pendle Hill in Lancashire for breathtaking views. Stories about this Hill date back to witch-hunting days. Look forward to amazing views of the Pennines and surrounding Yorkshire countryside. This is an easy climb - even for the very young (or old) and non-hiking visitors. Don't miss seeing Lindesfarne Castle - enroute to Scotland. It's located on an island and the only way to reach it is to drive out when the tide is low. Knowing the tide times is essential to your getting to visit. Next, we'll travel to Germany, as I'm also a Destination Specialist for this country - my homeland.
