I love Italy and all things Italian! I have traveled throughout the country many times, most recently spending a month in Lucca (northern Tuscany) "living like a local." I've been visiting, touring, and learning about Italy since 2007, traveling from Venice to Milan; Rome to Tuscany; Amalfi to Sicily.

I'm very partial to the Amalfi Coast - there's nothing quite like seeing the sun shine on the coastline. Ahh the month of May when the air is filled with jasmine and roses. I'm eager to talk and learn what you want to see, do, and experience in this most beautiful country. Understanding how large it is, the trip you're planning should be the first of many.

On your first visit, I'll recommend a walking or food tour in each city. This will give you a wonderful opportunity to meet with locals and experience a fantastic meal. Orvieto is a hidden gem - about an hour from Rome, and another great city to take a cooking class. I'll also recommend you visit the Jewish Ghetto areas of several cities (Rome, Venice).
