I've been very fortunate to have been in the travel industry for over 25 years. And I'm proud to say that I have two distinct specialties: New Zealand and Traveling with Disabilities. I'm also looking forward to another great 25+ years in this amazing industry where every day you learn something new that can make a positive impact on a client's upcoming trip. First, we'll visit New Zealand - one of these incredible places where you simply cannot take a bad photograph. Each location is followed by another location that seems even more beautiful than the place you just left. As your New Zealand Specialist Gold Level, I've tramped through forests, explored old mines, waded across snow-melting rivers, hiked up and down mountains, had a snow-ball fight on The Remarkables, sat under a waterfall at Milford Sound, zipped through Skipper's Canyon on a jet boat, visited locations for many of the biggest films produced in New Zealand, stayed in accommodations that ranged from five-star+ to local farms and everything in between. And, I know the best places for golf, fishing, hiking and action sports. Now, I want to learn how you want to see and experience these two diverse North and South Islands. Next, my reason is personal for expanding my knowledge and expertise in the travel industry to become an advisor who specializes in Traveling with Disabilities. I have two aging parents with mobility issues and a sister with both physical and mental limitations because of Down Syndrome. Having traveled with my family on numerous occasions and seeing and experiencing first-hand the special care they require has motivated me to learn as much as I can so that I can help others enjoy travel with as few obstacles as possible. To further my expertise, I've been awarded a certification with a travel vendor for "Special Needs at Sea" that provides rentals for wheelchairs, scooters, oxygen concentrators, shower chairs and other assistive devices. I know how to help if you face these same mental and physical challenges with family and friends that I've experienced. Travel is a wonderful and valuable experience. There is no reason why those who are mentally and/or physically-challenged should not have the opportunity to experience the beauty and exhilaration of travel. Working together, we can make it happen for those of us who need special help to accomplish this precious opportunity to travel.
